Kaoru needs to be more confident in himself -- he’s so fucking skittish, like someone’s been beating him and it makes you want to just hug him and protect him from the world. Or go out and kick who ever has been making him so damn nervous. 

I really want to hold his hand, like I didn’t realize I needed to until he was shaking next to me at the train station when we first met.

[Keeler is confusing… He’s someone I used to really respect - not that i don’t now, I respect him a lot, but the feelings were far more like he was watching over me, you know? I remember drunk texting him one night actually thinking I was messaging my Mom, something I’m still embarrassed about, but that’s not what makes him confusing.

I… don’t feel that way about him anymore – the feeling of respect is still there, but it’s shifted? Like… I want to see him smile more, I want to hear that dorky laugh he has. He’s incredibly smart and the face he gets when he’s passionate about some science thing no one else really understands is fantastic. 

These feelings are far different from respect and that’s why he’s confusing.]
